Parking Ticket Appeals

Parking ticket appeals are handled through General District Court. To appeal a parking ticket through the court system, contact Billings & Collections at 853-6834. You will be asked to furnish your name and address, telephone number, ticket number, and date of issuance. A witness subpoena will be issued and sent to General District Court to be served. The subpoena will notify you of the date and time of the court hearing.

Please be advised that If a parking ticket is appealed in court and if you are found guilty, court costs may be added to the fine, and the parking ticket will have to be paid.

If you have a valid disabled placard and receive a parking ticket for parking in a disabled zone, you may appeal by calling Billings & Collections at 853-6834 to schedule a court hearing or contact the Roanoke City Police Department's Patrol Bureau at 853-2265.
