Parking Ticket Appeals

    • Parking ticket appeals are handled through General District Court. To appeal a parking ticket through the court system, contact Billings & Collections at 853-6834. You will be asked to furnish your name and address, telephone number, ticket number, and date of issuance. A witness subpoena will be issued and sent to General District Court to be served. The subpoena will notify you of the date and time of the court hearing.

    • Please be advised that If a parking ticket is appealed in court and if you are found guilty, court costs may be added to the fine, and the parking ticket will have to be paid.

    • If you have a valid disabled placard and receive a parking ticket for parking in a disabled zone, you may appeal by calling Billings & Collections at 853-6834 to schedule a court hearing or contact the Roanoke City Police Department's Patrol Bureau at 853-2265. This Disabled Placard Parking Brochure provides more information on disabled parking regulations. This requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
