Parking Ticket Appeals

    • Parking Ticket appeals are generally handled through General District Court.

    • To appeal a parking ticket through the court system, contact Billings & Collections at 853-2880. You will be asked to furnish your name and address, telephone number, ticket number, and date of issuance. A witness subpoena will be issued and sent to General District Court to be served. The subpoena will notify you of the date and time of the court hearing. Please be advised that If a parking ticket is appealed in court and if you are found guilty, court costs may be added increasing the amount due..

    • Billings & Collections will gladly review any issues concerning a contested ticket or a ticket you may wish to appeal. Please complete and mail Parking Ticket Appeal Form within 10 calendar days of the date of the ticket stating the ticket number, your name, telephone number, and address as well as reasons why you feel the ticket was issued in error. We will review the matter and inform you of the outcome, usually within 3 - 5 buisness days. Or you may complete an On-Line Parking Ticket Appeal & Suggestion Form which will submit your appeal electronically to our office.

    • If you have a valid disabled placard and receive a parking ticket for parking in a disabled zone, you may appeal the citation by calling Billings & Collections at 853-2880 to schedule a court hearing or you will be advised as to the documentation required for an administrative review of the ticket.
