NEW! Peaks of Otter-Johnson Farm Trail and Lunch
(20+) The Peaks of Otter was once a bustling community with pioneer trails and roads that connected lands on either side of the Blue Ridge. Walk with us and enjoy the vibrant fall foliage as we explore the old Johnson Homestead, Abbott Lake and dine at the Peaks of Otter Restaurant. Fee includes transportation and leadership. $14

NEW! Falls Ridge Preserve Nature Conservancy
(20+) An amazing geologic wonder can be found in a remote part of Montgomery County! This day will be like none other as you walk, explore and learn about a living waterfall that is growing before your very eyes. The Falls Ridge Preserve is a rugged ridge that rises from the valley of the North Fork of the Roanoke River, Falls Ridge Preserve boasts a spring-fed travertine waterfall approximately 80 feet in height. The Salem Fault runs through the preserve, and the different soils provide fossils and plans that cannot be matched anywhere in the region. Fee includes transportation, lunch and leadership.

Wind Rock and War Spur Trail  
(20+) Wind Rock and War Spur Trail are exhilarating outdoor sites that give you a taste of what the Allegheny Mountains looked like when the first pioneers walked these trails. Feel alive as the first winds of winter bring freshness to your soul and a spring to your step. Open vistas give great views into the Mountaineer State while cascading streams among rhododendron and mountain laurel will lead you to precipitous cliffs through virgin forests. Fee includes transportation, lunch, and leadership. Deadline to register is Nov. 26. $19
