Quiet, peaceful evenings up on the Blue Ridge Parkway are relaxing, informative and fun. These monthly stargazing programs allow you to meet other people with the same interests as you peer through large telescopes to distant stars, planets and galaxies. All sessions are led by Frank Baratta, an experienced amateur astronomer and member of the Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society. For more information about the RVAS, visit its Web site at www.rvasclub.org.

All programs are FREE, but advance registration is required by calling 853-2236 at least five business days before each program. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
