Parks and Recreation
The Recreation Division offers city-wide recreation and leisure programs and services, reaching more than 200,000 participants each year.
Division activities include:
- managing the Breckinridge and Woodrow Wilson community fitness centers,
- serving more than 2,000 adults through over 400 recreational opportunities,
- offering more than 800 recreational programs in two recreation centers with more than 126,000 visitors and participants,
- serving more than 11,000 youth and adults through more than 115 athletic programs
- providing more than 300 outdoor education and adventure programs that reach 6,850 participants and
- operating two Olympic-size outdoor swimming pools with more than 30,000 visitors each year.
