Housing for Police Officers

City of Roanoke Police Officers - Looking for a place to call home at below market rate cost?
The Officer-at-Home program may be what you’re looking for!

What is Officer-at-Home?
This program is a part of a larger strategy to accelerate neighborhood revitalization and economic investment in Roanoke. With the assistance of Virginia Housing Development Authority(VHDA) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, the City of Roanoke has entered into a contract with the Blue Ridge Housing Development Corporation (BRHDC) to rehab and, ultimately, manage properties located in revitalization areas.

BRHDC will rehabilitate the properties – and initially market them solely to eligible Roanoke police officers, at below market rate rents.
To date, two properties have been successfully become Officer-at-Home houses.
