Purchasing
The City of Roanoke has implemented a Purchasing Card program and uses a MastercardR , welcomed by suppliers worldwide, to streamline our purchasing and payment system and reduce the time and money the City spends to process small-dollar purchase paperwork.
This program is designed to let end-users of goods and services buy these necessary small-dollar items directly from vendors, thus increasing efficiency, decreasing cycle time and reducing paperwork. All City departments are now using the Mastercard for purchases under $2,500.00.
We do require a costed (itemized) receipt from the supplier for any purchases made.
