Council-Appointed Vacancies

The following list of vacancies is updated, if necessary, after each City Council meeting.

Roanoke City Council appoints members to approximately 64
authorities, boards, commissions and committees..

As of January 17, 2012, vacancies exist on the following bodies:

Board of Zoning Appeals - two vacancies (effective January 1, 2012)
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board - four vacancies
Fair Housing Board - two vacancies
Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center Commission - one vacancy
Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission - one vacancy
Towing Advisory Board - two vacancies (citizen at large and towing enforcement)
Local Board of Building Code Appeals - two vacancies (Architect or Engineer and Property Manager)

Residents of the City of Roanoke are encouraged to apply for appointment.
