The Roanoke Times Book Club

The Roanoke Times newspaper, in partnership with Roanoke Public Libraries, has launched The Roanoke Times Book Club. The purpose of the book club is to allow readers an engaging mini-forum for exploring the themes, characters, social issues and more presented by a carefully selected assortment of books.
Future selections of the book club include Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Self Help by Lorrie Moore, Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich, Plain Heathen Mischief by Martin Clark, The Clearning by Tim Gautreaux, and The Last Girls by Lee Smith. Additional information on the book club’s sections can be found at the Roanoke Times Book Club webpage.

Limited copies of all of the Roanoke Times Book Club books are available at the library. For information on book availability, go to www.rvl.info or visit your neighborhood library.
