Goals
- To provide guidance and serve as a resource to the Mayor and other governmental officials regarding issues affecting people with disabilities.
- To conduct meetings of the Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities in order to receive input and involve interested public in the work of the committee.
- To sponsor public awareness activities to support the annual focus of the standing subcommittees.
- To advocate for the rights of people with disabilities through information and education.
- To promote the dissemination of information about community resources available to people with disabilities.
- To maintain involvement with the federal, state and local level committees for people with disabilities.
