Financing Statements
The Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court has the necessary forms to record a financing statement. Complete the necessary forms and have all signatures acknowledged by a notary public or deputy clerk of circuit court. Include $20 for the filing fee, $2 to certify a copy of the form to be returned to you, and 50 cents for each page to be copied. If you are mailing the form, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Payment may be made by cash or check made out to "Clerk of Circuit Court."
Financing statements are fully searchable in the public records room of the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court on the third floor of the Roanoke City Courthouse.
