Roanoke Public Library Foundation
The Roanoke Public Library Foundation was chartered by the on May 26, 1953. This charter makes it possible for interested persons to bequeath money, property and other forms of endowment to the Roanoke Public Library system with the assurance that such bequests will be administered in strict accordance with the wishes of the donors.

What does your contribution mean?
Some of the traditional and modern services which challenge our libraries' financial resources are: materials in business, industry, technology and the sciences; lecture series by noted authors and public figures; audiovisual media; and computers with online services.
The Roanoke Public Libraries encourages you to consider us when you are making estate plans. If you would like to create a perpetual memorial in the Roanoke Public Library Foundation, please contact the Director of Libraries at (540) 853-2475, who will be eager to discuss your proposal at your convenience. You can also depend on your attorney or trust officer for valuable information and advice.
How to make your gift
Gifts are held in the Roanoke Public Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax deductible corporation, to protect the permanently endowed funds supporting the operations and programs of the Roanoke Public Libraries.
Our tax I.D. is: 54-0246515.
Gifts of cash, stock, trusts, life insurance, and bequests can all be accepted.
As a donor, you may establish a fund designated to support specific programs or activities of the Roanoke Public Libraries.
Gifts to the foundation may be recognized in the name of the donor, in memory of a loved one, or kept confidential as the donor chooses.
Undesignated gifts will be used to support the on-going activities of the Roanoke Public Libraries.
