Planning Commission:  Results of March 13, 2017, Public Hearing


Amended Application No. 1 by Cherney Development Company, Inc., to rezone property located at 1001 Williamson Road, S.E., 0 (zero) 3rd Street, S.E., and 0 (zero) Albemarle Avenue, S.E., bearing Official Tax Map Nos. 4021504, 4021505, 4021507, respectively, from D, Downtown District, to I-1, Light Industrial District, with conditions--Planning Commission recommended approval, 5-0 (Commissioner Katz recusing).

City Council will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid application on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon as the matter may be heard.

In addition, motions to schedule public hearings for April 10, 2017, or as soon thereafter as the matters may be heard, to amend the Official Zoning Map to rezone property annexed from Roanoke County to the City of Roanoke, were approved (6-0):

3660 Blue Hills Village Drive, N.E., and 3661 Blue Hills Village Drive, N.E., bearing Official Tax Map Nos. 7160123 and 7160122, respectively, from R-12, Residential Single-Family, to CG, Commercial-General.

5345 Williamson Road, N.E., bearing Official Tax Map No. 2200243, from R-12, Residential Single-Family, to CLS, Commercial-Large Site.

5401 Williamson Road, N.E., bearing Official Tax Map No. 2200244, from R-12, Residential Single-Family, to CLS, Commercial-Large Site.
