Planning Commission: Results of March 14, 2016, Public Hearing
Application by Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, Inc., to rezone the properties at 3435 and 0 Melrose Avenue, N.W., bearing Official Tax Nos. 2660120 and 2660106, respectively--Planning Commission recommended approval, 4-0-1. Board Member Mr. Russell recused himself from this item due to a conflict of interest.
Application by LSW-HMW Family Limited Partnership to rezone the subject property by repealing the conditions accepted by City Council as part of a previous rezoning at 622 Huntington Boulevard, N.E., bearing Official Tax No. 3280102, and replacing them with other conditions--Planning Commission recommended approval, 5-0.
Application from the City of Roanoke to vacate a portion of right-of-way along the northern edge of Norfolk Avenue, S.W., between 2nd Street, S.W., and Jefferson Street, S.E., and a portion of right-of-way along Norfolk Avenue, S.E., between Jefferson Street, S.E., and Williamson Road, S.E.--Planning Commission recommended approval of Amended Application No. 1 presented at the public hearing, 5-0.
City Council will hold public hearings on the aforesaid applications and requests on March 21, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon as the matters may be heard.
