Fire-EMS Station 1 and Fire-EMS Administration Headquarters

The Roanoke Fire-EMS Station 1 Headquarters opened in May of 2007. Construction of this state of the art facility began in 2005. The station is 29,000 square feet and cost over $6 million dollars to build. The station is three stories tall and houses not only Fire-EMS Crews but also Fire-EMS Administration including the Office of the Chief and the Fire Prevention Division. When this station was opened it consolidated crews from Fire-EMS Station 3 which was located at 301 Sixth St., SW and crews from Historic Station 1 located at 13 Church Ave., SE. The station houses Engine 1, Ladder 1, Medic 1, Investigator 1, the EMS Supervisor and the Southside Battalion Chief.
