Fire-EMS
The much anticipated groundbreaking ceremony for the new Melrose Avenue Fire-EMS Station was held on Thursday, January 2, 2009. The Mayor, members of City Council, the City Manager and many members of local neighborhood groups attended the event. This station will be located at the corner of Melrose Ave. and 20th Street. It will house an engine, ladder truck, ambulance, the Investigation Unit and a Battalion Chief. This station will also have a Police Substation. The station is slated for completion in early 2010.
