Top 10 problems that are encountered when doing field inspections.
1. No access. (Can not get in to do inspection.)
2. No approved stamped plans on site.
3. Work not ready to be inspected.
4. Bulkheads and step downs in footings not done properly.
5. Draft stopping and fire blocking either not done or not done properly.
6. Header jacks and girder posts not done properly.
7. Anchor bolts improperly spaced or installed.
8. No lateral bracing on roof trusses.
9. Studs, joists, etc. bored or notched too much or in the wrong locations.
10. Sequence of inspections not called in for inspection in the correct order (Framing called in before all the other rough-ins are approved).
Top 10 problems that are encountered when doing plan reviews.
1. Submitting additional information without the proper forms.
2. Plans containing Title Blocks not signed.
3. Additional Information not submitted through General Contractor.
4. Site Plan not submitted when projects are adding to the footprint of the property.
5. Code data incomplete (Code year, Use groups, Square footage's etc).
6. Footing/Framing details not in submittal.
7. Life Safety Plan not in submittal.
8. Contact information incorrect on application.
9. Smoke Detectors locations not in submittal.
10. Lack of or incorrect insulation values not listed on plans.
