As a regional, urban hub, the City of Roanoke will continue to grow and attract new development in the future. In the process, the City aims to conserve land, water, air, and other natural resources, while also maximizing the quality of those resources. The City's Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance is one of the regulatory tools that was adopted for the purpose of protecting the City's natural resources during the process of development.
The City's erosion and sediment control ordinance is Chapter 11.1 of the City Code.
