Hurt Park Run/Walk
The Hurt Park Neighborhood Alliance, in conjunction with Hurt Park Elementary, the City of Roanoke and the Virginia Department of Health is excited to host the first ever Hurt Park 2 and 4 Mile Run/Walk and Kids 1K. This event will occur as part of the larger “May Day Celebration” on Saturday May 3, 2008.
Saturday - May 3, 2008
2 and 4 Miler Start Time - 8:30AM
Kids 1K Fun Run - 9:45AM
Registration: Print out a registration form. Registration for the race is free for all Hurt Park Residents, $5 for those living outside of Hurt Park. Complete and send in your registration today!
Race Course: The 2 Mile Run/Walk and 4 Mile Run course will be a 2 mile loop near the Elementary School. The Kids 1K Fun Run will also start and end at the Elementary School.
Volunteers: We're also looking for volunteers to help with race registration, water stops and other events. If interested contact Paul Workman at paul.workman@roanokeva.gov or 540-853-6803

Awards: Winners in overall categories for both the 2 and 4 Miler will receive trophies (1st, 2nd, 3rd for both Male and Female). Winners within each age group for the 2 & 4 Miler will receive medals. Age groups for both the 2 & 4 Miler are as follows:
