Business Robbery
The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a business robbery that occurred on January 3, 2009. Officers responded at 5:53 a.m. to the Stop In Store in the 1800 block of Memorial Avenue. The clerk stated that the suspect entered the store and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled. No one was hurt. No arrests have been made. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 40 years old, approximately six feet three inches tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a dark winter jacket.

Credit Card Theft
The Roanoke Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a credit card theft. The offense was reported on July 10, 2008. Numerous purchases were made from multiple places totaling more than $14,000. If you know the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspect in this surveillance picture call the Roanoke Police Department or Crime Line. This surveillance picture was taken on June 6, 2008 at the K-Mart on Hershberger Road.











Property Damage
The Roanoke Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a property damage that occurred on August 13, 2008. Officers responded at 2:25 a.m. to the Poff Building in the 200 block of Franklin Road. A large rock was thrown at the front window. The window was not broken, but was damaged.



Business Robbery
The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a convenience store robbery that occurred on June 19, 2008. Officers responded at 12:58 a.m. to the Stop In, in the 4800 block of Williamson Road. The suspect entered the store and demanded money. He obtained an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled on foot, and was last seen traveling north on Hershberger Road. No one was hurt. No arrests have been made. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately six feet two inches tall, and weighing approximately 185 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a red t-shirt, and a white baseball hat.

Fatal Hit and Run
The Roanoke Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest who may have information regarding a fatal hit and run that occurred on May 2, 2008. Officers responded at 10:54 p.m. to the intersection of Williamson Road and Sycamore Avenue. A vehicle struck a pedestrian and the driver fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he later died. He was identified as Bernard Abram, age 28 of Roanoke. No arrests have been made. The department wants to speak with a man seen with the victim shortly before the hit and run, inside the Citgo convenience store in the 1700 block of Williamson Road. The man appears to have entered the store with Mr. Abram and may have known the victim. This individual may have additional information about the hit and run that could assist officers in their investigation. A surveillance picture shows the subject inside the store.

Copper Theft
The Roanoke Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a copper theft which was reported on March 17, 2008. Officers responded at 9:20 a.m. to Brammers Village in the 3000 block of Peters Creek Road. Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the property on March 15, 2008 at 12:20 a.m. and stealing copper. He is described as a black male with short black hair, approximately five feet eight inches tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds.

Business Robbery
The Roanoke Police Department has obtained warrants in a robbery that occurred on May 25, 2008. Officers responded at 5:08 p.m. to the Nu Deli Mart in the 3400 block of Shenandoah Avenue. Warrants have been obtained for robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and use of a firearm by a convicted felon for Eric Michael Davis, age 21. A picture of Mr. Davis is available. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Davis should call the Roanoke Police Department at 853-2211.

Vehicle Arson
The Roanoke Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in an arson which occurred on June 16, 2008. Officers responded to a call on that date at 12:32 a.m. to the first block of Kirk Avenue. A vehicle fire was determined to be intentionally set. The suspects are described as two black males. The first is approximately six feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark shirt, khaki pants, and black and white shoes. The second suspect is approximately five feet eight inches tall and was wearing a white t-shirt, dark shorts, and white tennis shoes. Video of the second suspect leaving the scene was captured by a nearby surveillance camera.
