Hurt Park Advisory Committee
The Hurt Park Advisory Committee (HPAC) is a neighborhood citizen-based group formed to provide insight and advise on the implementation of development activities in the neighborhood. The advisory committee serves as a strong advocate for the residents of the neighborhood in identifying and addressing the community's housing, economic, and human needs.
The responsibility of the HPAC is to help guide the revitalization process of their neighborhood utilizing the Hurt Park Neighborhood Plan and the HUD Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area (NRSA) plan. The committee meets monthly at 5:30 p.m. at the Hurt Park Elementary School. During the meetings, the HPAC provides information on housing, zoning changes, infrastructure improvement, public safety and other opportunities that are created through projects. The committee also collaborates with other neighborhood-based stakeholders to ensure open communication and awareness of development projects is maintained.
