Raiders of the Lost Corset: Lacey can't wait to see France for the first time with friend Magda Rousseau, corset creator for D.C.'s wealthiest and kinkiest. Lacey's job there is to report on haute couture, but the real reason for the trip is the supposed Rousseau lost treasure: a corset lined with jewels. But just before the big trip, someone poisons Magda. Could it have something to do with the priceless corset? To find out, Lacey must follow a dangerous thread that will lead her to the answers - and perhaps the missing jewels. Fourth in the Crime of Fashion Mystery Series.

Ellen Byerrum is a Washington, D.C., news reporter, playwright (under her pen name Eliot Byerrum), and novelist, the creator of the Crime of Fashion mystery series. She also holds a private investigator's registration in the state of Virginia. Her Crime of Fashion mysteries star a savvy sleuth with a keen sense of style: Lacey Smithsonian. Lacey is a reluctant fashion reporter in Washington, "the city fashion forgot." Her job qualifications include a nose for nuance, a knack for unraveling mysteries, and a wardrobe full of fabulous Forties suits and killer heels.

Ms. Byerrum and her stylish heroine share a fondness for vintage fashion and a balcony overlooking the Potomac River, but, alas, their beloved Nissan 280ZX is now just a memory. The Crime of Fashion series began with Killer Hair and continues with Designer Knockoff and Hostile Makeover. The next book in the series will be Raiders of the Lost Corset, due out June 30.
