Forensic Services Unit
The Forensic Services Unit responds to crime scenes and documents the scenes through pictures, video, scale drawings and collection of physical evidence.  This evidence includes, but is not limited to, weapons or items used in the commission of a crime, fingerprints, trace evidence such as hairs or fibers, and bodily fluids.  The unit sends physical evidence to the Western Regional Forensic Laboratory for testing, and works with the Commonwealth Attorney to prepare documents for court.
