Bill is a graduate of Ohio State University, the University of Virginia School of Law, and the University of Virginia School of Government and Foreign Affairs. He served as an Assistant City Attorney for the city of Roanoke from 1978 to 1988, when he became County Attorney for York County, Va. Bill is a former president of Local Government Attorneys of Virginia. Bill represents the City Council, attends all meetings of City Council and its committees, and oversees the representation of all city officers and agencies.

Tim, a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, is a graduate of VMI and T.C. Williams School of Law. He represents Police, Fire-EMS, Communications, Human Resources, the School Board and School Administration. Tim was most recently the City Attorney for Danville, Virginia.

Steve, a native of Oneonta, New York, is a graduate of Hamilton College and the Washington & Lee University School of Law. Steve represents Public Works, which includes Streets and Traffic, Solid Waste Management, Grounds Maintenance, Parks & Recreation, Community Planning and Building Inspections, the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and the Architectural Review Board. Steve handles all zoning, land use, subdivision and development review matters on behalf of the office.

Gary, a native of Dayton, Ohio, is a graduate of the University of South Florida and the College of William and Mary Law School. Gary represents the Engineering Department in connection with construction contracts, the Purchasing Department, the Roanoke Valley Cable Television Committee and the Office of Economic Development. Gary also has responsibility for environmental issues and contract formulation and review.

David, a Roanoke native, is a graduate of James Madison University and the University of Virginia School of Law. David represents Human Development, libraries and juvenile facilities, the Civic Center Commission and the Office of Billings and Collections. David handles all real estate transactions on behalf of the city and has responsibility for collecting debts owed to the city, such as taxes.
