Office Relocation
On October 27 the Roanoke Building, Zoning and Development permit office will be temporarily relocated to allow for repairs and renovations to better serve our customers. The temporary permit center will be located in room 167 on the first floor of Municipal South across the hall from the current space. Signs will be installed on the first floor of Municipal South to direct applicants to this location. The relocation will be for approximately three weeks. During this time we strongly encourage applicants to submit permits and requests by fax, phone or on-line due to space limitations in the temporary office. City Council adopted Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments on July 20, 2009.
The City of Roanoke's Zoning Ordinance is contained in Chapter 36.2 of the Roanoke City Code. To view the zoning ordinance, visit the City Code web page and search for Chapter 36.2. The amendments noted above are not yet available on the City Code site. Please download the links provided above.
