Goals
To provide guidance and serve as a resource to the Mayor and other governmental officials regarding issues affecting people with disabilities.
To conduct meetings of the Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities in order to receive input and involve interested public in the work of the committee.
To sponsor public awareness activities to support the annual focus of the standing subcommittees.
To advocate for the rights of people with disabilities through information and education.
To promote the dissemination of information about community resources available to people with disabilities.
To maintain involvement with the federal, state and local level committees for people with disabilities.
