The Application Support staff is an outstanding team of developers, system analysts and administrators. Together, they support a wide variety of applications which are used by departments throughout the City of Roanoke. There are currently over 80 applications and more than 3,000 programs being supported by this group of experienced professionals.

Services provided by Application Support are:

Assistance to city departments in assessing and defining current application needs and exploring beneficial technology solutions.
Comprehensive application development services including: contracts, requirements, design, procurement, programming, installation, testing and implementation. Support and maintainance of existing application systems to achieve effective and reliable day-to-day operational use.
Assistance in the training and documenting of new or enhanced application systems. Scheduling of development projects in a timely manner consistent with the priorities of the city's Information Technology Council.
