We need your help at our first Clean Sweep neighborhood cleanup!
DATE: Saturday, July 14 TIME: Neighborhood Cleanup from 8:00 a.m - Noon LOCATION: Melrose-Rugby and Melrose-Loudon Neighborhoods
Live in Melrose? Here's how you can participate:
Option 1: Clean out your home. We'll pick up what you don't want!
If you're a resident in Melrose-Loudon or Melrose-Rugby in the designated area, please toss all clutter, unwanted brush, and unlimited bulk items to the curb. Please note: all items need to be placed before 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14.
Option 2: Move vehicles for street sweepers.
If you want your street sweeped, please coordinate with your neighbors to move parked cars before Monday morning. Street sweepers will be running on Monday, July 16.
Do not discard the following hazardous items during Clean Sweep: liquid paint, motor oils, batteries, liquid pesticides, gasoline, diesel fuel, stains, or finishes. To safely dispose of these household hazardous materials, please call RVRA at 540-857-5050 or visit our Hazardous Waste Collection page.
Or volunteer to clean parks, streets, and alleys!
Register to volunteer at Clean Valley Council's website. Volunteers will help clean litter and debris from streets, parks, and alleys between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14. Clean Sweep Volunteers will also be invited to a cookout for volunteers at Eureka Park, taking place between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
