The Department of Economic Development acts as a liaison and a resource to the many facets that influence our constantly evolving economy. Through our rigorous business visitation programs (BIZVIZ and BIZBREAK) we engage with the entire spectrum of the business community to keep informed of real conditions affecting stability and growth.
We provide ongoing customized assistance to our businesses and keep them informed of city and state benefits for which they may be eligible. Also, since growing businesses need a growing and well trained workforce, the department provides Career and Lifestyle Fairs where job-seekers can meet with prospective employers. .
